Brooklyn, New York
Get tickets!Description
Join us over the city and spend the evening discussing alternative living spaces, reviewing practical pioneering skills and creative improvisation (“roughing it”) and sharing in a communal dining experience.
With panoramic views of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens and unobstructed views of the sunset, moon and sky, Bivouac is a truly unique traveling rooftop camp ground. Comprised of five custom-built lean-to tents, a library and canteen.
Join us for a three-part camping workshop focusing on alternative living spaces, a return to pioneering skills and the simplicity of enjoying the company of people in a detached setting; the simplicity of sleeping.
We'll begin with a discussion then move on to preparing our communal dinner.
Although all the locations for Bivouac 2012 are yet to be announced, in honor of Obscura Day, we are inviting guests to experience this special pre-season run-through on April 28. Be a part of this unexpected and wonderful use of urban space and experience.
Camping workshop from 4-8pm, camping overnight.
